I studied mathematics and statistics in the USA completing a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in Chicago and a Master of Science from Roosevelt University in Chicago.

Then I returned to Germany accepting a teaching and research assistantship at the University of Mannheim, where I completed a Ph.D. with a thesis in sampling theory.

Since 1992, I have been working as a freelance statistician.
